Late Cretaceous is the second world in Tasty Planet Back for Seconds. There are nine levels and one cutscene in Story Mode and there are ten levels in Bonus Mode in this world.

Plot

The Grey Goo, having travelled back 66 million years in time, has shrunk to the size of 1.52 millimeters. It eats prehistoric insects, plants and critters in Cretaceous Critters, eats dinosaurs and small trees in Dinotime and Bigger than Dinos and eats Redwood trees, lava and eventually an entire volcano in Save the Dinosaurs. After this, in the world's only cutscene, the grey goo eats a large meteor(the meteor that caused the extinction of the dinosaurs), thus changing the course of history and creating a timeline where dinosaurs never went extinct. The grey goo then travels forward in time just under 65 million years to the time of the Ancient Egyptians.
