Mackerel is a common name applied to a number of different species of pelagic fish, mostly, but not exclusively, from the family Scombridae. They are found in both temperate and tropical seas, mostly living along the coast or offshore in the oceanic environment.
In Tasty Blue they are found in the Tropical and Arctic region only, first appearing in Dolphin Escape.

- They appear in only three levels and they never move in any of them. As it's always thrown from a bucket, this means it's dead and therefore they are the first dead creature to appear in the series.
