The Pacific Basking Shark is the second aquatic character in Tasty Planet Forever, and is the fifth playable sea character in the entire series. It is in between the Big City Bee and the Australian Dingo.
Story[]
Taking place in the Pacific Northwest in 1956, a reporter interviews a man who says that he has eradicated the entirety of basking sharks in the region, claiming that these beasts will "torment us no more!" The reporter questions him, saying that those sharks only eat plankton and that they don't hurt people, which he responds by saying that they were getting in their fishing nets and costing them money, proving that he got rid of those sharks for that sole purpose. He then says that he'd be surprised if there were any left, and there is one right behind a Shark Ramming Ship.
