Phytoplankton, type 2
Phytoplankton are the autotrophic components of the plankton community. The name comes from the Greek words φυτόν (phyton), meaning "plant", and πλαγκτός (planktos), meaning "wanderer" or "drifter". Most phytoplankton are too small to be individually seen with the unaided eye.
In Tasty Blue they are found in the Arctic region only, first appearing in Partaking of Plankton. In the game all Phytoplankton are diatoms and transparent.

- Second type: variable, from 31.5 micrometers to about 76 micrometers.
