It has an alternate ending to Back for Seconds, where instead of traveling to other time periods, the Grey Goo grows large enough to go into space and eat an asteroid, and then the Earth. Doing so, the goo disappears from existence without the evolution of mankind taking place.
The last stage gives you a time limit to eat the asteroid AND has 3 cut-scenes.
‘Dinotime’ is named after Tasty Planet’ Back for Seconds’ level, Dinotime.
If in the release version of the game, The Grey goo ate an asteroid by accident when it ate a volcano. Then in the Demo version (flash version) grey goo wanted to eat the asteroid on purpose and so like to save the Dinosaurs, but then eat the Earth.
The moon can be destroyed by that huge asteroid if the player does not eat ahead of time.
After Adobe Flash reached the end of its life, the game may still be played using FlashPoint.
This game along with "Tasty Planet" are the only games that end badly for the grey goo. In this game, when the grey goo ate Earth, he caused a time paradox preventing the existence of his creators, causing him to disappear. Then when he disappeared, the Earth was revived, and then he was left inside a cup, and the scientists left him in there and most likely will release him again, creating a stable time loop.(they probably did in tasty planet back for seconds)
